After many unexpected delays, Kinetik are pleased to finally announce the launch of their long-awaited studio album MODEM TIMES. Officially released on January 15th 2007, this is our first album to be professionally pressed from a glass master at a CD pressing plant.MODEM TIMES track details :

TRANS-CONTINENTAL is a full studio version of this popular song, previously only available as a live version on the RE-GENERATIONS release. The version of TRANZ MISSION presented here is an early demo arrangement of the track, done in preparation for the song's premiere at the London Elektrofest in 2002 (the final completed version of TRANZ MISSION is found on the MODEM TIMES album).
Lastly, the two live tracks have been taken from Kinetik's most recent live performance at the 2003 Elektrofest Festival in London. The sound quality of the live recording is excellent.
Also given away with the first 50 copies is a limited edition DVD entitled the MODEM TIMES VIDEO SUPPLEMENT.
This features various articles detailing the recording and mixing of the album, plus various interesting material from the Kinetik archives. These include promo films for 'Haven's Lament' (1997), 'Re-Generations' (1999) and 'Marconi' (2002).
Some archive concert material is also included, featuring extracts from The Burning Issue (Wales 1995), Micro Tour (Wales 1998) and Windows 2000 (Bath 2000) concerts.
The total running time for the DVD is well over two and a half hours.

To co-incide with the launch of MODEM TIMES, Kinetik are also in very early negotiations concerning a live event likely to be held at the Goonhilly Earth Satellite Tracking Station in Cornwall sometime in 2007. We stress that this is at the very early discussion stage and is by no means confirmed yet. If it goes ahead, it is likely that Kinetik would perform a substantial set and largely feature material from the new album.
