Kinetik Live Date in Newcastle - Concert Postponed

Kinetik's planned live performance in Newcastle on Saturday March 3rd 2001 has regrettably had to be postponed until probably November 2001. This has unfortunately occurred because the venue planned for the evening turned out to be double-booked. Despite many efforts to find an alternative venue for the same date, it was not possible. Kinetik were invited to perform on an alternative date (at a launch party for T-Bass UK's new album), but unfortunately Andrew has been unable to obtain the necessary time off work. It now seems that the earliest opportunity for the band to perform in the city will be in November 2001.

However, there is currently a strong possibility that Kinetik will be performing in Blackpool, UK around the middle of July 2001. The band has received a tentative booking for a performance at a birthday party held for Paul Wilkinson (Paul Wilkinson was one of the co-organisers of the UK Kraftwerk Conventions where Elektro Kinetik first performed) and Andrew Slegt has had the time booked off work for quite a while! Should this event go-ahead, it is planned to allow anyone who wishes to see Kinetik perform to attend. More details on this will be posted on this site as soon as they are confirmed.

REFINED Album To Be Re-released As A Special Edition

As there are now only a couple of copies left of REFINED from the last batch pressed, Kinetik are to take the opportunity of soon relaunching the album as a special edition release. The new version will differ from the older version in several ways. The album will contain two new contemporary bonus tracks, certain tracks are to be re-mastered for sound quality and an alternative mix of 'Generation' is to be used. Track details on the new version will be as follows:

KINETIK ENERGY - Exactly as on the original release.
PIPELINE - Exactly as on the original release.
DANCE MACHINE - To be re-mastered.
FATHER OF INVENTION - Bonus track. Originally written for the EMMA#4 concert where REFINED was launched.
SOUNDS OF INDUSTRY - To be re-mastered.
INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY - As per the original release but reduced in volume to match the other tracks.
ORIMULSION - Bonus Archive studio recording. Originally written for the Burning Issue concert.
GENERATION - Alternative earlier unreleased 'test' mix (as played by BBC Radio Derby).
NET WORKING - Exactly as on the original release.
REFINED - Exactly as on the original release.
HAVEN'S LAMENT - As per the original release but reduced in volume to match the other tracks.

The CD Artwork will also be enhanced for quality, providing a better looking end produkt. Please note that it is our intention to keep to the original style and feel of the 1997 release, but with better sound, mix and inlay quality. We are not intending to drastically alter the mood of tracks by completely reworking them as on the RE-GENERATIONS release - we are merely taking the opportunity to improve on the original CD master with the new sound technology we now have available.

I.S.D.N.  E.P To Be Re-Pressed

Originally released as a limited edition of only 30 copies for the Bath 2000 concert, the EP has met with such acclaim and demand that Kinetik had decided to re-press the CD for sale at the recently-postponed Newcastle gig. It has now been decided that the single will now be re-pressed to coincide with the next Kinetik concert - whenever that may now take place !

If you were unlucky enough to miss out on the original release, you may reserve your copy by contacting us. Available on the EP are the studio version of 'I.S.D.N.' (taken from the forthcoming MODEM TIMES album) plus two exclusive remixes which will not be available elsewhere.

MODEM TIMES Launch Date ?

Kinetik's long-awaited next studio album is now scheduled for release late in 2001, hopefully the album will be launched at a special Kinetik concert. This may be at the concert in Newcastle for November or at the possible Blackpool party gig. Studio sessions for the album will be re-started in February 2001.
